True Axe Timber Crafts is located in Fernie, BC, in the beautiful Elk Valley. Specializing in traditional timber frame joinery, Chad Schuett creates unique, hand-crafted furniture, outdoor living structures and architectural features for your mountain home. Working with the client’s needs close in mind, each piece is one-of-a-kind and designed to fit individual tastes and spaces.

In respect for our forests, Chad tries to source out locally harvested and milled timber, usually Douglas Fir, as well as reclaimed wood from local buildings which adds character and historical significance to your project. Whenever possible, he uses environmentally sound finishes such as Landark and Lifetime. You’ll find him in his workshop in the Elk River Mountain Homes building, beside the Fernie Brewing Co.
